We continue to follow UK government guidelines
On Monday 23rd March 2020 the UK government announced a lockdown in order to combat the Covid-19 pandemic. The UK government has announced that they are actively encouraging online businesses.
I have moved some of my stock back to my home address where I will be mainly operating from on my own. I do have access to my office which I am able to drive to and not have any contact with other people. I will be making 2-3 trips to the office a week to collect essential supplies.
I have taken some of the fabric and sewing supplies off the website for now in order to limit the number of trips to the office.
I have suspended sample requests at present.
I am unable to make amendments to orders once they have been placed at present.
The UK postal service is still operating and I am currently posting all UK parcels via 1st Class Royal Mail which are collected from my home address every working day, and parcels over 2kg are being sent via a courier service. International Mail is still being processed by using couriers (FedEx or DPD or Parcelforce). I have found that parcels are taking longer to arrive due to postal staff shortages & country border closures so please allow up to 2 weeks for your parcel to arrive before contacting me.
I have extended our return policy to 28 days.
As per new government advice Lisa is now attending the office twice a week to help process some orders, however, I continue to mainly operate from my home address.
We are keeping ourselves and you safe by adhering to strict hand hygiene and wiping all surfaces regularly with antibacterial wipes.
If you are a NHS worker or a key worker then drop me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will provide you with a special discount code as a small thank you from me to you.
Thank you so much for your continued support during this uncertain time.
I wish you and all your loved ones the very best of health. I hope that by keeping Sew Me Sunshine open it will give you the opportunity to sew which will take your mind off the pandemic.
