Velvet quilted coating has a layer of wadding and stabiliser sandwiched in between one layer of black velvet and one layer of black ripstop type fabric that has been quilted with a diamond design. It has a light sheen to it. It would be ideal for sewing yourself a sleeveless jacket such as the I AM Hathor or a jacket such as the Hovea by Megan Nielsen.
