I have always loved looking at the Burda Style magazines so I was really excited to see Geo's sweater that she made from the January 2020 issue (116 012020) using our midnight glitter fleece backed jersey. I especially love the added gold pleather accents!
Every month I pick someone who has shared a make on their social media using fabric from Sew Me Sunshine and used the hashtag #sewingsunshine. I love following this hashtag as I get so inspired by all of your amazing makes. The monthly winner receives a £20 e-voucher, and gets featured on Sew Me Sunshine's blog so that we can all get to know the winner a little bit more, so I will hand over to Geo so we can get to know her a bit more...

Longer Questions:
When did you start dressmaking and why did you start?
I've been dressing my dolls since I was about 5, they must've been the best dressed dolls around! I kept doing that until just before highschool and then stopped until after uni. I bought my first sewing machine 11 years ago and I love making colourful unique clothing that fits.
Who inspires you with your dressmaking?
Following other sewists on Instagram is probably the biggest inspiration and fabric/pattern shopping enabler.
What is your favourite fabric to work with and why?
I prefer cotton and linen - I love how crips they are, how easy they sew and how wonderfully behaved under a hot iron (see favourite sewing tool above :) )
What is your all time favourite dressmaking pattern and why?
I have made many Ginger jeans and Style Arc Blaire shirts, they are the perfect match! Easy to wear but looking very smart.
Pick one fabric from Sew Me Sunshine and tell us what you would sew with it:
I'm going to make a pair of slim trousers out of this stretch cotton jacquard, I think they would be perfect for spring. Is it spring yet?!
