Linen + Linen Blend + Ramie Dressmaking Fabrics

Linen is made from the fibres of the stem of the flax plant. Linen can be combined with other fibres such as silk, viscose and cotton which will alter the feel and structure of the fabric. Linen is seen as a sustainable fibre.

Ramie is made from a flowering plant of the nettle family in Asia. It is often referred to China Grass. It has similar visual characteristics and properties to linen. Like linen it is deemed a sustainable fibre and blends well with other fibres.
